About Us
All Wound Up Yarn Shop was founded in 2015 by mother-daughter duo, Leslie Greenquist and Nona Davenport.
They taught classes, engaged with customers, sold lots and lots of yarn, and made amazing samples for over 10 years at AWU.
All Wound Up Yarn Shop transitioned to NEW Ownership as of October 29, 2025.

Who are these people that purchased All Wound Up?
That’s a big question and we’re sure you have that and many more.
We started as co-workers over twenty years ago and are now life-long friends.. We discovered that we had more in common than just being mothers to young boys when we met, we had a connection via the fiber arts, and been crafting together ever since. Crafters since childhood, we share a love of crochet, and all things yarny. We have traveled Washington and Oregon together, attending festivals and yarn shop tours, and we volunteer with a variety of guilds and festival planning teams. Creating handmade items, talking about the fiber arts, meeting new fiber friends, and building our community has strengthened our connection over the years.
Daria is a New Jersey transplant who has called Washington home for 27 consecutive years (30 non-consecutive years), is married, has an adult son, and has multiple dogs.
She crochets, knits, sews, spins, and has dabbled in other fiber and fiber-adjacent arts.
She doesn't design patterns (yet) but also does not always follow them as sometimes the yarn tells her what to do.
She loves her purple hair, dislikes green peppers, and prefers comfy, fuzzy clothes over business attire.
Erica is a Brooklyn transplant who has called Washington home for the past 28 years, is married, has a son and daughter, both adults, and some cats.
She crochets, spins, felts, sometimes knits and intermittently creates with other fiber arts and adjacent techniques.
She has also started publishing crochet and knit patterns over the past year (on Ravelry as Robotbee Designs).
Her favorite color is purple, she also dislikes green peppers and loves her collection of boots and shoes.

Ways in which we give back to the community:
As individuals, we make items, donate money, and volunteer time to a variety of organizations such as food pantries, hospitals, charities, rescues, educational events, and local crafting guilds.
As a business, we encourage making and donating by our patrons, offer a creative space for like minded individuals and groups, donate money and materials, and are a collection site for crocheted and knitted items for a variety of assistance organizations.

Land Acknowledgement
Our shop is located within the traditional territories of the Coast Salish people.
This includes the Cayuse, Umatilla, Walla Walla, dxʷsəq̓ʷəbš (Suquamish),
sduhubš (Snohomish), and sdukʷalbixʷ (Snoqualmie) Nations past, present and future,
whom we recognize as the original stewards of the land.
As we acknowledge this history, it is our responsibility to continue to understand
our position in relation to the lands we occupy, disrupt Indigenous erasure, colonization, and
oppression and honor the cultural heritages of Indigenous community members
