Beginning Knitting for Adults (ages 16+) Class Description: Beware! Once you learn to knit you won’t want to put the needles down. Come begin your knitting journey with us. You will learn how to: cast on, knit and purl, execute the garter stitch and stockinette stitch, combine knit and purl stitches in the same row, read your knitting (identifying knit and purl stitches, parts of a stitch, counting stitches and rows), fix dropped stitches, add new yarn, bind off, and weave in yarn ends. We will be using straight knitting needles and using the English style of knitting with the yarn being held in our right hands.  Our knit pieces will be squares that can be used as tiny make up removal cloths or sewn together to create a larger washcloth. We will also look at and discuss some possible next projects and additional learning opportunities.
