Class Description
Brioche Knitting in the Round to make a Coffee Cup Cozy Class Description: Come brk (bark - brioche knit stitch) and Brp (burp – brioche purl stitch) around the needles to create a squishy two color cup cozy perfect for your morning latte. This is a great introductory or refresher class to brioche knitting techniques. You will learn how to execute the knit stitch, purl stitch, transfer colors, understand that two rounds equal one, and how to read our knitting and fix mistakes. After taking this course, you should be ready to tackle bigger or more difficult brioche knitting patterns. Length: 3 hours Experience Level Required: know how to knit and purl Materials Fee: Included Materials Provided by Instructor: extensive handouts and pattern to create the brioche cozy Materials Student Brings:: 40 yards each of two colors of DK or light Worsted yarn* (NO cotton yarn), US size 5 circular needles (9" circular OR 32" circular for magic loop), stitch markers, Size 16 tapestry needle, scissors, and tape measure *Stash yarns may be used for this lesson

Masks are welcomed and encouraged. Please do not attend class if you are feeling unwell. Service animals only. Please leave pets at home. Age requirements Everyone must be at least 16 to take the adult classes. Children’s classes start at age 8. Parents must sign a Liability Waiver AND be available during the scheduled class times for contact in the event of an emergency or student disruption. Refunds will not be given if students are asked to leave due to behavior. Space limitations exist for all classes. We try to keep our class sizes small to ensure each student gets personalized attention. For this reason, we require students to register for our classes via our website, prior to 72 hours in advance. Cancellations Class cancellations must be made up to 72 hours (3 days) before the first class is held. We cannot offer refunds for cancellations that take place within 72 hours prior to the start of class. This is to be fair to students and our instructors. We will have closed the class registration and provided the instructor with the final headcount. No refund will be issued for sessions not attended and no refund will be issued after classes have started. No make-up sessions for missed classes unless due to instructor illness or inclement weather. Materials We request that yarn be purchased at All Wound Up Yarn Shop for all classes. You may bring your own needles and notions, however, we do have plenty of supplies available for purchase if needed. Materials are not included unless specified.
