Class Description
Needle Felted Landscapes: Painting with Fiber (Adults 16+) Join our guest instructor Jennie Sanders as you transform wool into art and discover how needle felting can bring images to life. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of creating two-dimensional needle felted pieces — from whimsical illustrations to breathtaking landscapes inspired by nature. Through guided instruction, you’ll explore how to blend colors directly with fiber, layer wool to create rich visual texture, and manipulate fibers to build depth, light, and definition within your work. Using simple tools and thoughtful techniques, you’ll learn how to “paint” with wool, developing soft transitions, atmospheric effects, and dimensional details. Whether you’re new to felting or looking to expand your fiber art skills, this workshop will give you the confidence to design and create your own unique felted artwork. In this workshop, you will: • Learn the basics of two-dimensional needle felting • Practice hand blending fibers to create custom colors • Build texture and depth through layering techniques • Explore composition for landscapes and pictorial designs • Create a finished felted artwork to take home All materials are provided, and no prior experience is required — just bring your creativity and curiosity. Length: 3 hours Experience Level Required: NONE Materials Fee: Included Materials Provided by Instructor: Felting Board, Felting Needles, Fiber, Felt Backing, and a variety of embellishments for the project. Students will take home all materials so they're set up for future felting projects

Masks are welcomed and encouraged. Please do not attend class if you are feeling unwell. Service animals only. Please leave pets at home. Age requirements Everyone must be at least 16 to take the adult classes. Children’s classes start at age 8. Parents must sign a Liability Waiver AND be available during the scheduled class times for contact in the event of an emergency or student disruption. Refunds will not be given if students are asked to leave due to behavior. Space limitations exist for all classes. We try to keep our class sizes small to ensure each student gets personalized attention. For this reason, we require students to register for our classes via our website, prior to 72 hours in advance. Cancellations Class cancellations must be made up to 72 hours (3 days) before the first class is held. We cannot offer refunds for cancellations that take place within 72 hours prior to the start of class. This is to be fair to students and our instructors. We will have closed the class registration and provided the instructor with the final headcount. No refund will be issued for sessions not attended and no refund will be issued after classes have started. No make-up sessions for missed classes unless due to instructor illness or inclement weather. Materials We request that yarn be purchased at All Wound Up Yarn Shop for all classes. You may bring your own needles and notions, however, we do have plenty of supplies available for purchase if needed. Materials are not included unless specified.
