Sunday Sweater Spotlight
Ready for another round of Sunday Sweater Spotlight? We have a new display of beautiful sweaters knit by Jen and Kathy up in our shop, now through December 10th.
Deb Pullover by Amanda Kafta is delightfully sparkly, perfect for the holidays. This is a fast, bulky knit that flies off the needles. You can use a bulky weight (like Berroco Wizzard) or hold fingering weight yarn along with mohair or lace. For our samples, we held a strand of Brillino which sparkles beautifully! The two on the left are a size 3 with extended length. The shorter one is a size 2, knit to the pattern.
We encourage you to come see these beautiful sweaters in person, and feel how soft and lovely the yarn works up. Ask a staff member to help you pick out the right number of skeins for your size!

Ongoing Charity Projects at AWU
We collect hats for local chemotherapy patients. They can be any size, color, or pattern, but must be made with yarn that has no acrylic or wool. We recommend cotton, bamboo, and silk blends.
Bamboo Pop is our shop favorite for chemo hats.
We often have free skeins available for chemo hat projects. Just ask the next time you come in.
We also collect accessories and garments of all kinds for Clothes for Kids. These can be made in any washable fiber. Items in masculine colors and larger sizes are especially appreciated as they are not donated as often. Teens also receive gifts from Clothes for Kids - not just younger children.
